My name is Jon Kogan and I am from Maryland. I work for a manufacturing company and travel around USA to represent it.
Coming home at the end of the week, I would always find something needed to be fixed. Cut grass, install electrical outlet, paint a room, plant a tree, etc.
Surprisingly, I didn’t mind it at all and actually found to be relaxing. It definitely took my mind off work and provided mental therapy.
I have gained many useful skills by reading instructional books and magazines I purchased from Publishing Companies, Home Depot, Lowe’s and book stores. I learned electrical work, carpentry, cement, stucco work and much more.
One day my wife decided she wants a waterfall pond. I didn’t mind to build it, but I knew nothing about. Ironically, every time I needed to learn something new, it would cost me money. Well, to build the pond I again had spent the money to buy books and professional advice.
Over the years, the internet became stronger and stronger with plenty of information, and sometimes it’s free. The experience I gained in many of my projects as a homeowner, inspired me to build this site where I could offer free information and lots of it!
About This Site!
How many of you could build a website today? I can guess the answer. It wasn’t easy for me either! Not knowing where to start, I looked all over the internet for ways to do it.
I found inexpensive host companies offering as little as $2.99 per month and even give you "free business hosting for six months!" The web hosting sets the hook, than you pay more for every extra feature or tool, none of which have been designed to work together.
I spend hundreds of dollars to have templates, website created and hosted. Spend ton of cash so I could be found on the web. Search engine placement, pay-per-click ads. I bought plenty of books and programs to learn html, ftp, links, google, affiliate programs, manipulate photos and more…I could go on forever.
Well I learned a great deal how to be a webmaster, but I didn’t know how to build a website people appreciate for what it delivered. Besides, I didn’t have the time to build the content!
One day I came across the website called Site Build It!
It caught my interest, but my immediate reaction was very negative. Big deal! Just another hosting company wants to get some of my money. However, I liked what I read and kept coming back when I had the time to read more about. It didn’t take long before I realized I have found my answers.
