Water Parasites!

Water parasites are eliminated by a variety of treatment procedures.

Here is general information on pond parasites that commonly prey on pond fish. Majority of them are only visible under microscopic magnification, however.

Worm-like, fatter at one end. Alternate, jerky elongation and contraction.

 

 

Organophosphate or Potassium Permanganate or Formalin

 

 

Fish Lice(Argulus)

 

 

Round with short legs.

Attached to fish. Visible to human eye

 

Dimilin (Diflubenzuron) or

organophosphate

 

Anchor Worm (Lernea)

 

 

Long, thin worm with tentacles attached to fish.

 Visible to human eye.
